Welcome to The North Chicago Firefighters Union Local 3271 website. Our union of firefighters helps protect the great City of North Chicago, IL. We as a union couldn’t be more pleased than to work for the wonderful residents of North Chicago.
We serve a population of just over 32,000 residents, occupying a 7 square mile radius. Our union firefighters protect a city that houses Naval Station Great Lakes, Rosalind Franklin University, Abbvie, Jelly Belly, and much much more.
The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is a one-of-a-kind addiction treatment facility specializing in PTSD for IAFF members – and IAFF members only – who are struggling with addiction, PTSD other related behavioral health challenges to receive the help they need in taking the first steps toward recovery. It is a safe haven for members to talk with other members who have faced or overcome similar challenges.
